Looking to add a retro look to your home? Maybe you want your entire living quarters to shout out 1960’s and 1970’s! Maybe you want a funky look to your office, a unique look to your business. Well look no further because there is one site that has it all: VintageLooks.com.. This site specializes in everything retro, including furniture, lighting, electronics, and even clothes!
How cool would it be to have a chair that no one else does? Maybe you saw that cute rotary telephone in a movie, or always wanted a space-age lamp. Or maybe you know you want something that looks like it came straight out of a 70’s sci-fi movie but don’t know where to start. This is where your search begins and will most likely end. With such a great selection, it’s tempting to buy them all and wallow in retro goodness.
How cute, a mushroom stool! This is fuzzy, not too elaborate, yet stands out and makes a statement. There’s a red one too, if you don’t want the blue.
Now this is something to have even if you don’t have a pet bird. What I like about this is that there is potential to customize this to make it your own and be truly unique. Strategic lighting, putting something(s) inside to make your own display of something outrageous, it can go in so many directions. Yet even just on its own it’s a classic antique, and can suit various styles and settings. It won’t take up too much room but because it’s tall it will boldly catch the eyes. Love it.
What a gorgeous lamp, I’d love to see this lit in a dark room! Yet even in bright settings it’s pretty to look at, the lines just add to the grace.
These lamps definitely feel like they came out of a B movie science lab, perfect for a funky office.
What cool accessories to have! These vintage cameras are a must have for anybody’s collection of either cameras or retro items. Even if you don’t actually use them, they are great little things to add a retro accent to your belongings.
Now here’s something we don’t see anymore: a rotary phone! And it still works! The funky shape is a nice touch as well. I remember as a kid I’d play with rotary phones nonstop even though I had no one to call, I just wanted to spin the numbers. Ah, the times when the simple things provided the greatest amusement.
Wow, an actual vintage gas pump! I remember seeing things like these in amusement parks as a kid and thinking how cool it would be to own one. Now I can! The site is kind enough to tell me that it’s not functional and does not smell like gas. Would be neat, however, if one could figure out how to make it work again so that it dispenses soda! Imagine it propped up on its own or next to any other appliance in the house. Definitely a conversation piece, it’s sure to be a favorite amongst your guests.
Retro TVs! I love these, and I don’t even watch TV! The one on the right would match that brass lamp perfectly, and add to the science lab look. It looks like it can even fit in a steampunk setting. Rather than having a typical vase of flowers on that shelf, these TVs would definitely be a unique piece of decoration.
This is a vintage stamp dispenser, something I’ve never even seen in stores. Such a neat accessory for the office, another small thing that adds a great touch.
It’s the classic Ms. Pac-Man! And it works!! Imagine it in your living room, in the break room at the office. I’d be playing it non-stop! Okay okay, this is from 1981 and not the 70’s, but it’s still a classic nonetheless. Maybe one of these days they’ll get a Pong machine. They have several more classic game machines in their electronics section as well as old radios and those TVs, definitely worth checking out that entire list.
Yet another fun thing for the office! This time clock still works, and would be neat to have alongside the stamp dispenser.
Okay, I’m a huge sucker for these kinds of things, especially when they’re fully functional like this one. I remember visiting a friend of mine who had a working traffic light from NYC (the yellow ones!) and I thought it was the best thing ever. Another great conversation piece, and since it’s by itself, you can totally customize it by giving it a funky frame or placing it inside a neat display. How wacky can you get? The sky’s the limit.
I told you this site has clothes, right? How would you like a 60’s Stetson hat, or a funky sweater that you see in every movie set in the 60’s and 70’s? Truly authentic vintage apparel that fashion designers today make copies of but they never quite have that original charm.
Every purse makes a statement, and you’ll definitely stand out among the crowd toting around a funky mod-print purse, or take a wicker purse to the beach.
There’s so much more at that site that all of these items barely begin to scratch the surface. The only thing I wish for is a “View All” option for the categories, but the amount of unique items they have makes it worth spending the time to browse and click through all of their pages. Be sure to check them out, you won’t be sorry!
